Usually, along with the beginning of a new year, everybody is happy, they are focusing on the good, and they are making resolutions lists. However, s40 Nokia users are not that joyful, as, on 31st of December 2018, Whatsapp was no longer available for their phones, especially if they have an Asha 301, 210, or 501. A long time ago the support ended, but Whatsapp services were still available for these phones and their owners to use for communication. Since the support has not been prolonged by Whatsapp, that should not be possible in 2019.
We will provide you with a list of devices for which you can no longer create an account, but you will still be able to use Whatsapp:
- Android versions 2.3.7 and older until 1st of February 2020
- iOS 7 and older until 1st of February
- It ended for Nokia S40 on 31st of December 2018
The S40 Nokia phones were in their best days, they were pretty popular around the world as they were a combination of the average phone and a smartphone, still keeping its versatility. Nowadays, they have been replaced by other cheap to buy and versatile phones, such as Nokia 1 or 2. If you own an S40 Nokia, then it is time that you change your phone. Either your budget allows you to update to a better phone or not, there is still the possibility to purchase a low-end phone that will not leave to much of a hole in your pocket. If you want to own a Nokia still, you can wait until Whatsapp comes to Nokia 8110 4G or other similar such phones.
