Specs and features of the Microsoft Surface Book 2
The design follows the same style of the Surface Book line and the only exception is the inside stiffening which accommodates the 15” clipboard.
The Redmond-based company has reduced the time it takes to reject the screen from the keyboard. The device part containing the storage, RAM, processor and more it is called the Clipboard, basically the detachable screen part. The other part is composed of the keyboard, extra battery, ports and the graphics processing unit.
The pressure sensitivity of the display has over 4,000 pressure levels. Artists and designers love this new improvement and also the unique Surface Book stylus which comes within the same price. This is a plus considering the fact that the MacBook Pro’s stylus is sold separately for a price of 100 $.
Under the hood specs
The 13,5” model comes with 2GB GTX 1050 and the 15” one comes with a 6GB GTX 1060. The battery inside the Clipboard should last for 5 hours and the Surface Book for 17 hours. The device also has a USB-type C port instead of the regular display port. There are also 2 USB-A ports and a full size SD card reader for Input / Output operations.
The 13,5” model costs around 1,500$ and the 13,5” costs around 2,500$.
Compared to the MacBook Pro which has removed its USB-C slots, the Surface Book 2 is an expensive but great alternative. It is twice as powerful.
