Skyrim on Nintendo Switch Doesn’t Have Any Mods

The Elder Scrolls V: Skyrim is a game which will become available on Nintendo Switch on the 17^th of November. The open world action role video game is developed by Bethesda Game Studios and is the fifth game from the series. The game was released in 2011 for Windows, PS3 and Xbox 360.

Skyrim on Nintendo Switch does not come with mods

US Gamer has written about this topic after speaking with Pete Hines from Bethesda. According to Hines, mods are not planned for Skyrim on Nintendo Switch. Some speculate that this is due to the limitations the console has in terms of hardware and online element.

What are Nintendo Switch users missing with the new mods?

It seems as if the game will receive a couple of unique elements such as motion controls. Another important aspect for the new game will be the ability to play it on the go.

The game can be played from a first or third person perspective and it allows characters to wonder Skyrim, an open world full of cities, towns, fortresses, wilderness and villages. Player can move around using horses or a fast-travel system and players can follow the game’s quest or just wonder around (only after completing the first stage of the quest).

Skyrim fans enjoy the non-player characters (NPCs) from inside the game. They can interact with them, kill them or fight a nonlethal brawl.

The player can develop their character by selecting their sex, choose his/her race: humans, elves, anthropomorphic cat or lizards, orcs etc. The character’s skills are also improved with experience and training. The totals of 18 skills are divided into three combat schools: stealth, magic and combat.

The game had plenty of technical issues when it was released such as texture down-scaling on Xbox One or chashes.
