Samsung Galaxy J5 2016 Update Comes with Vulnerability Fixes and New Improvements

Samsung has already released the update to fix Blueborne Vulnerability in Galaxy Note 8 and this update is now available to both Samsung Galaxy S8 and Samsung Galaxy S8 Plus. This fix first came to Canadian devices and then intends on rolling out to others.

The Samsung Galaxy J5 – 2016 edition has already received the Blueborne fix and a security update in order to keep the users’ devices safe from malware.

For those who are not aware of this malware, take a look at what it does: this virus will travel between devices through a Bluetooth connection, even though the devices are not paired. The information is sent to the hacker’s mobile device. So, we can say that Blueborne is a malware that takes advantage of a vulnerability in the devices and the companies must update their software to fix this issue.

In order to keep the users safe, Samsung has released an update for their mobile phones, focusing on Samsung Galaxy Note 8, Samsung Galaxy S8, Samsung Galaxy S8 Plus and the Samsung Galaxy J5 (2016). Right now, this update is taking action in Europe and will soon spread worldwide.

This update will be an OTA and will automatically notify you of the update on your device. The update started with the release of the security patch in September. The version of the firmware update is ‘J510FNXXS2AQI4’.

We might also see the new OS in Samsung Galaxy J5 – 2016 edition, the Android Nougat, but it’s only a rumor for now.
