Updated to the latest version, the One UI interface on Galaxy S20 phones also includes some features announced in early August for the Galaxy Note 20 series.
Keeping the tradition, Samsung delivers some of the innovations presented on the latest Galaxy Note model and on Galaxy S series phones.
Samsung brings the One UI 2.5 interface to Galaxy S20 phones
Delivered for starters only to users in a few European countries, such as Italy, Hungary, Portugal and the Netherlands, the One UI 2.5 interface can be applied to the Galaxy S20 version with 5G, the S20 Plus and the S20 Ultra.
New features include Wireless Dex support, allowing the transmission of the image wirelessly to compatible TVs and the use of the screen as a touchpad.
The camera app gets a few extra options, such as 8k / 24fps shooting mode and Pro Video Mode with the ability to switch between different phone microphones.
At the same time, One UI 2.5 simplifies the sharing of Wi-Fi login data with other nearby Galaxy devices.
Samsung confirms that the new update is distributed for Galaxy S20 series phones starting with August 21, but without detailing the regions and countries that receive access first. At the same time, in the next period, the update will reach other Samsung flagships, including the Galaxy S10 series, Galaxy Note 10 and the recent foldable phone models launched by Samsung, such as Galaxy Fold and Galaxy Z Flip 5G.
