Pokémon Go First Year Anniversary Has Come With A Big Announcement
One year has passed since the Pokémon Go has been launched and it seems that some of the players are finally returning to this nice game. The reason why the players are coming back to the Pokémon Go is that Niantic has recently updated its gym battle system.
The new update has come with raid bosses, allowing you to team up with other players in order to defeat them. We’ve told you yesterday about what we thought that the developers will bring thanks to the 1 year anniversary. Unfortunately, the developers have not added any Shiny Pikachu as many rumors have been suggesting for quite a while. However, let’s forget that the day has not ended yet, so there are still chances that the developers will introduce it to the game sometime later today.
On the other hand, Niantic has made an official announcement, which will surely make many players very from the UK very happy. It seems that the first official real-world Pokémon Go event is finally coming to the UK. Niantic has teamed up with the non-profit organization “Big Heritage” and it will host a special event later this month in Chester, UK.
Niantic has mentioned that everyone that will be present in that city will be able to take part in a number of fun trail activities, with in-game and real-world surprises for the Pokémon Go players. The event will take place next week during July 22-23 and for the first time in 20 years the “Chester Castle” will be open to the public.
John Hanke, the CEO and founder of Niantic, mentioned that the team “loves the idea of using mobile games as a motivation for families to play outside together and perhaps to learn something interesting while they are at it”
At the same time, Big Heritage will work with schools in the Merseyside and Cheshire regions to launch an initiative that will encourage kids to learn about their location area by going out and playing the Pokémon Go game.
Do you think that Shiny Pikachu will be released later today?
