Nokia 8 Announced with Surprising Features
We have been hearing a lot of rumors about the Nokia 8 smartphone. Some say that it’s the next flagship smartphone the company is planning to launch this year. Finally, HMD Global has put an end to the suspense and revealed the Nokia 8 Android smartphone.
Surprising Features
Even though the rumors have suggested some features, others come as a surprise. Nokia 8 brings the latest specs, including a Qualcomm Snapdragon 835 CPU. Moreover, it runs on 4 GB RAM and 64 GB internal storage. The display is a 5.3-inches QHD one, paired with a Gorilla Glass 5 screen. The battery is also impressive, a 3,090 mAh one that enables you to use the Qualcomm Quick Charge 3.0 technology.
Regarding the camera, we should expect to see Nokia using Carl Zeiss optics again for their phones. There was even a report showing that the two companies have signed a partnership that was similar to what they used to do in the past. Consequently, the smartphone will have dual 13 MP snappers on the back. One of the sensors will be an OIS that captures in color, while the other one is mono. The front camera will also offer 13 MP, plus it will bring a phase detection autofocus function.
Better Audio Technology
However, the improvements don’t stop here. IT seems that Nokia 8 is going to bring some better audio technology as well. This happens thanks to the OZO audio tech developed by Nokia. In translation, the phone will come together with 3 microphones that use acoustic algorithms from the OZO technology. As such, you can enjoy capturing audio with a 360-degrees spatial surround sound.
You will be able to buy the Nokia 8 in September. There are 4 color options to choose from, and the price is €599.
