Motorola Edge: premium design, medium specifications and many accessories in the package

Motorola Edge + was a pleasant surprise on the premium device market, but it also has a smaller “brother” in the mid-range range: Motorola Edge 5G. This is a smartphone equipped with a configuration familiar to those who have watched the space of average 5G phones, but it comes with a design almost identical to that of the top model. This is one of the few average models with a curved screen and it looks almost identical to the top version. Of course, there are some differences.

Motorola Edge does not compromise on design compared to Edge +

On a first meeting with the Motorola Edge, I immediately noticed that the phone is significantly lighter. The reason seems to be the difference in materials used by the manufacturer. The back is not covered with glass, but with plastic, while the frame still remains metallic. However, from the front, the Motorola Edge seems to be almost identical to the Edge + model, especially due to the display.

And it seems to be almost identical. It comes with a diagonal of 6.7 ”, an extreme curvature on the sides and allows the content to be displayed at 90 Hz. Of course, it is also compatible with the HDR10 standard. On the back, the major difference we can see, apart from the difference in materials used, is that we have an almost “flat” room module. The camera on the Edge + was very prominent, but this model comes with smaller sensors and lenses, which do not require so much space in the case. And the lack of optical stabilization could be one of the reasons for the small size.

However, I appreciated the fact that Motorola continues to offer almost everything you need in the Edge package. Included in the package is first a transparent silicone case, along with a fast charger at 18W, charging cable and headphones with 3.5 mm jack.

What does it not have compared to Motorola Edge +? A top camera, wireless charging and a high-end processor. However, Snapdragon 765 is proving to be a good alternative for users who did not need so much processing power on a smartphone anyway.
