Minecraft is a sandbox video game that has been created by Markus “Notch” Persson. The game was developed and published by Mojang and it currently available for computers, consoles and mobile devices. In Minecraft you can fight monsters, gather resources, create buildings, explore and many more.
Nintendo has finally announced that the Minecraft game has been released for its 3DS mobile device. This announcement has been made on the Nintendo Direct live stream, where the company has confirmed that the game will be added soon in the Nintendo 3DS eShop.
The Minecraft for Nintendo 3DS comes with creative and survival modes, two texture packs and five skin packs. The game supports a map size of 2016×2016 and 128 blocks high. Unfortunately, the multiplayer feature will not be supported for now, it might be added sometime soon.
Mojang claims that the closest equivalent of the Minecraft for Nintendo 3DS is 0.15.4 and that the developers will continue adding new features and options from this point. The dual screen setup will help you craft easier as you will be able to easily access your inventory. Mojang has not mentioned when exactly it will start bringing new features or options to this version of Minecraft, but it will most likely happen sometime in the following weeks.
However, we’re not sure how much the Minecraft: Nintendo 3DS will cost, but the game should go live in the eShop sometime in the next days. As soon as it hits the store we will try to update this article with the price.
