List of Huawei phones that will receive an update to EMUI 11

Huawei has officially announced EMUI 11, the new interface for its Android smartphones. However, it will not run on Android 11, as the company did not have advance access to the open source version of Google’s operating system. However, once it finishes developing its custom system on Android 11, the company will also provide updates to this version, also under the name EMUI 11. Even if not all devices that will receive the EMUI 11 update have been officially confirmed, we have now a list of models that could be updated in the next few months.

The list was compiled by the Huawei Update website, which closely tracks all Huawei software releases and is based on the company’s official statements as well as its past launch strategy. We have on this list both newer models of Huawei smartphones, which we expected to receive the next update without a doubt, and older devices, which could not have been updated.

Also, the list of devices that receive an update to EMUI 11 includes both Huawei and Honor models, which will receive this software as Magic UI 4.0.

Most likely, the first models to receive the update will be those of recent generations, such as Huawei P40 and Mate 30. At the same time, we expect Huawei Mate 40 to launch with EMUI 11 pre-installed. However, it could still have Android 10, not 11 at the base of the proprietary interface.
