Huawei Enjoy 20 and Enjoy 20 Plus will be the cheapest 5G phones

Huawei is also preparing to launch two new budget phones, at least in China. The Enjoy 20 series, whose models will probably arrive in Europe as part of the Huawei Y series, will debut on September 3, according to the official announcement and will integrate 5G technology at an affordable price. In fact, they may be the cheapest 5G phones on the market, but they don’t seem to compromise on performance or other capabilities either.

Huawei will officially announce the Enjoy 20 series models in a few days

We have already seen in the photos the Enjoy 20 Plus model, ie Huawei Y9a, as it will be known in other regions. It benefits from a design inspired by last year’s Mate 30 series, with a three-camera system framed in a round module. It will not have a cutout in the 6.63 ”Full HD + screen, the front camera being of the pop-up type, while inside it will be found a battery with a capacity of 5,000 mAh and fast charging at 40W.

The Huawei Enjoy 20 model, however, will be a little more modest and will not be similar in terms of design with the Plus version. It also uses a three-camera system, but framed in a square in the upper left corner, like the P40 lite, for example. The screen has a central cutout for the camera, and information about this device suggests that it benefits from a MediaTek MT6853 chipset, which has not yet been announced. This could be a budget model called Dimensity 600, the cheapest with 5G from the Taiwanese manufacturer’s offer.

Thanks to this chipset Huawei Enjoy 20 could start at 1,199 yuan, or 147 euros. This would be the lowest price for a phone with 5G connectivity on the market. Of course, in order to reach this price, Huawei will make some compromises in certain chapters. For example, the construction seems to be plastic, while the cameras do not seem to be very powerful (13 MP f / 1.8 wide + 5 MP f / 2.2 ultra-wide + 2 MP f / 2.4 deep). In fact, this model does not seem to be equipped with a fingerprint sensor.

The Enjoy 20 Plus model has one in the power button, its frame being cut for this purpose. On the Enjoy 20 there is no sensor on the back or on the side. And a display sensor would be too expensive, as it requires an OLED panel.
