How and Why: Google Play Store Update
Why do you need to update your Google Play Store?
All software whether it be a tool, a game, or a cross between the two, it will need to be updated if it wants to continue to run and be relevant as the years go by. This is necessary since the hardware of any device that some particular software may run on today will no longer be a relevant hardware a year from now, since there is a constant uptrend on hardware technology which means software must also follow and be upgraded or updated.
Google Play Store being one of the most utilized software mobile applications by mobile users being the default App Repository of Android phones, needs to be constantly upgraded and updated in order to cope with the ever changing technological landscape.
Updating the Google Play Store is not that complicated. Below are two simple ways on how to accomplish this:
- Check if there are available updates for your Google Play Store
The first step is to check if there are available updates – and if there are it means that you do not have the latest development installed in your device. A simple way to do this is to go to the Google Play Store settings menu and tap on Build version or Play Store version. If there is a new version available for download, you will see a prompt.
- An alternative way to install downloads is by downloading directly the Google Play Store APK. A quick web search will reveal a lot of reliable websites that provide links to download the APK. Once downloaded go to your file manager and tap the APK file that you have just downloaded. This will automatically install the Google Play Store application on your device. Be sure to restart you device after the installation.
