[Download] Windows 10 Preview with Design Changes and Other Improvements
Microsoft users are expecting the Fall Creators update, and now the company has released new previews. The Fall Creators Update is supposed to come on October 17, and we already received some details about the upcoming Windows 10 version.
Windows 10 already received some major updates, but Microsoft is working on more updates for the users.
If you were curious about the upcoming features that will be available for Windows 10, here is what the preview revealed:
Fluent Design elements
One of the biggest things that will come to Windows 10 is Fluent Design. Users will receive an improved interface that will be easier to use.
First of all, we had a chance to take a look at the Reveal effect. It will be available for all apps, but it will really improve the Start Menu and the Edge browser.
When it comes to Microsoft’s browser, the Reveal effect will improve the keyboard design, the search box, PDFs, tabs, address bar.
Other improvements
Microsoft is also planning to fix some issues that were reported by users. For example, sometimes users received a green screen with a SYSTEM_SERVICE_EXCEPTION in win32kfull.sys, but the new build will fix that. The WIN+X menu issue that where the accelerator key underline hints disappeared will also be fixed.
Additionally, Color & High Contrast Settings will receive a new wheel that will allow you to test the effects of the different color filters.
There will also be a Microsoft Edge shortcut on your desktop, but you will be able to delete it if you don’t want it there.
The new update moves the build number from 16362 (that became available) to build 17004. It is a big step for Microsoft, but it was necessary.
