Android 8.0 Oreo Comes to Oneplus 3 Smartphone

Google finally released Android 8.0 Oreo and the update is slowly reaching Android devices. Now it is time for OnePlus 3 to receive the Android closed beta.

OnePlus 3T and OnePlus 5 will have to wait longer for the update

The phone was the first one to get Oreo, despite the fact that it is not the latest OnePlus model. Android Oreo closed beta is not available yet for OnePlus 3T and OnePlus 5, the newer handsets. It is believed that these models will get the final Oreo version soon.

We already know that OnePlus 3T will get this update by the end of the year. “OP3/3T will receive Android O within this year,” Pete Lau, OnePlus’ CEO, declared a while back during a Reddit AMA. However he did not mention OnePlus 5, but we are sure the same thing is available for it.

According to Oliver Z, OnePlus’ head of product, Android Oreo is the last Android update for OnePlus 3 and OnePlus 3T. He announced this with a post on his blog.

This isn’t the latest version

Android 8.0 Oreo closed beta is not the final Android build. This version has some bugs and there are some problems with Bluetooth, Wi-Fi and hotspot. Nevertheless, the final update should get rid of these issues.

Android 8.0 Oreo comes with brand new features

Oreo is the latest Android update. This new version was officially released earlier this month and at first it was only available for Google devices such as Pixel, Pixel XL, Pixel C tablet and Nexus 5X, Nexus 6P and Nexus Player. The other Android devices will also get the final version within this year.

The new OS comes with numerous improvements and additions. Oreo brings the picture-in-picture option, better battery life and enhanced notifications channel.
